Meet Dr. Precious Serero: a dynamic Medical Doctor, Aesthetic Medicine Practitioner, and Lifestyle Medicine Enthusiast with aspirations of philanthropy. Dr. Serero's story unfolds at Phemo Wellness Centre, located in the heart of Gaborone's Central Square. Here, she serves as the Managing Director and Medical Doctor, a role she has excelled in since September 2019. Phemo, a Setswana word meaning "the act of preventing or avoiding the occurrence of something," perfectly encapsulates her mission. Phemo Wellness Centre, now trading as Phemo Clinic, is dedicated to high-quality health and wellness promotion, empowering the community through innovative programs.
Before establishing Phemo Wellness Centre, Dr. Serero honed her skills at Zeta Clinic, where she spent over three years focusing on a holistic approach to patient care, emphasizing prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and maintaining both physical and mental health. Her journey began as a Medical Intern at JST Hospital in Rustenburg, South Africa, where she managed patients and provided emergency services.
Dr. Serero's educational background is as impressive as her professional journey. She holds a Master of Science in Sports Medicine from the University of Pretoria and an MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her dedication to continuous learning is evident in her additional certifications, including Basic HIV/AIDS Kitso Training from the Ministry of Health - Botswana.
Beyond her professional and academic achievements, Dr. Serero volunteers her expertise as a Medical Doctor for the Comrades Marathon Association, showcasing her commitment to community health and wellness.
