Edward A. Ganesh | Ghana | Willingness To Learn

Registered Nurse | TV Presenter | Actor | Blogger

My name is Edward A. Ganesh, but I'm commonly known as Ganesh in the entertainment industry. I'm the only son of my parents, and my father, Kingsley Aboagye, was a former footballer. During my secondary education at Akyem Akroso, I discovered my passion for acting and participated in various drama activities, which fueled my desire to pursue a career in the field. In 2020, I made my acting debut with the movie "The Struggle of a Girl Child," and since then, I've featured in several other productions, including the "Opana" TV series. Besides acting, I'm a skilled MC who has hosted numerous events, thanks to my ability to blend humor with professionalism. I'm honored to have played lead roles in several TV series, including "The Struggle of a Girl Child" and "Opana," which allowed me to work with esteemed production houses like Venus Films and S2y Productions. Before establishing myself as a comic actor, I was a professional props and set designer, a skill set that served me well in the film industry. As the CEO of my production house, "B.O Productions," I take pride in producing quality content that resonates with audiences. I've also worked as a commercial model for various companies, including emred.com. Beyond my entertainment career, I'm a motivational speaker who focuses on inspiring the youth. I believe that with hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude, anyone can achieve their dreams. Lastly, I must acknowledge my mother's unwavering support, which has been instrumental in my success.

What were the biggest initial hurdles you faced and how did you overcome them?

Breaking into the entertainment industry can be a daunting task. From a lack of opportunities and intense competition to financial constraints and the need to prove oneself as a talented actor, I faced several challenges early in my career. However, I learned that persistence and consistency are key to success.

I invested in my craft by taking acting classes, workshops, and training to improve my skills and showcase my talent. Networking with other industry professionals and seeking out mentors who could guide and support me also played a significant role in my journey. In addition, I used social media and other platforms to promote my work and expand my audience.

What advice do you have for young people locally and internationally who are just starting out in their careers or pursuing their passions?

To young people starting their careers or pursuing their passions, I offer this advice: Work hard, be persistent, and never stop improving.

Believe in yourself and your abilities, and don't be afraid to seek guidance from those who have gone before you. Remember that success is not achieved overnight, but rather through dedication and perseverance.

Stay focused on your goals, and don't let setbacks discourage you. With passion, determination, and a willingness to learn and grow, you can achieve your dreams. As an actor and creative, I offer advice to young people starting their careers or pursuing their passions: believe in yourself, stay focused and consistent, network, keep learning, and have patience.
